In 2005 Sofilec and Buisin formed a merger and combined their products and expertise in the brand Sofilec.
Sofilec now offers a wider range of products and services for many applications requiring custom-made conductors.

20 years making rounded cables and conductors
Sofilec ("La SOciété FILs Et Câbles") was founded in 1986.
The manufacturing site, which is also the headquarters, is situated near the Lyon St Exupéry airport.
Special cables and rounded conductors form the core of Sofilec’s production.

60 years making solid conductors
The Buisin site, named after the small stream that runs through the factory, has 60 years of experience in  insulated conductors.
The manufacturing site is in Vaux-en-Bugey, in the Ain region, 50 km from Lyon.
The Buisin branch boasts first class expertise in complex shape of insulated conductors.
